Jennifer Hobson      30 April 1952 -  06 September 1922

Jennifer was one of the “founding members”  of Commission. being recruited by Noel Speers while attending Stranmillis Teacher Training College in Belfast.

​

She was a native of Dungannon and after some years in Belfast moved to the Moy and married Lyn Hobson, a local GP.  She became a teacher of English and Drama at Dungannon Royal school until her retirement

. 

Since 1975 Jennifer had been involved with Commission, mainly as a voice, and latterly a Trustee and Drama Producer.  She excelled in all roles!

Jennifer attended The Grange Quaker fellowship, a where she had a leading role as an elder, and her Christian faith was always to the front in this, as in all the aspects of her life. She would have said she believed in ”walking the walk” rather than “talking the talk”, but set an example in both aspects!

​

For the last couple of years, she fought a battle against a brain tumour but never gave in to despair.

​

She went to be with her Lord in September 2022.
